1. General Settlement Principles
888fw settles all sports betting markets in accordance with this rule set and the official results from recognised governing bodies. Settlement is determined on the official outcome or, where applicable, the market description published by 888fw. The operator may delay settlement pending official verification.
- Official results govern settlement. If no official result is published, 888fw may settle using reliable data at its discretion.
- Prices displayed in error or markets offered with incorrect information may be voided.
- Markets that do not conform to the standard format or which rely on mislabelled teams or players may be voided.
- Bets on events that are abandoned or postponed are treated as described in the postponement section; bets stand if the event resumes and completes within 48 hours of the originally scheduled completion time; otherwise unsettled markets are void and stakes refunded where applicable.
2. Bet Acceptance and Fraud
- Bets are binding once confirmed. 888fw will not cancel or amend bets except as provided in this rule set.
- Palpable error may lead to voiding or resettlement of affected bets.
- 888fw may void bets or suspend settlement if there are concerns of fraud or integrity breaches; funds may be withheld pending investigation.
- 888fw may reject bets that rely on discrepancies between advertised prices and the live market or bets placed in a manner intended to exploit the system.
- In the event of a technical or system interruption during bet placement, customers must check their betting history to confirm acceptance.
3. Odds and Settlement
- All markets are settled on decimal odds. The operator uses a sixth decimal precision for internal calculations of total odds; the final payout is rounded and displayed to two decimal places.
- Displayed odds may be truncated to two decimals for display purposes; total winnings and payouts are calculated from the official data and rounded to two decimals.
- Settlement may be delayed up to 30 days for re settlement after detection of errors; 888fw retains the right to reclaim incorrect payouts.
- If a market is offered with an incorrect score or price that would have produced a materially incorrect outcome, 888fw may void or resettle the market as appropriate.
- Outright markets and related selections settle in accordance with official results, with non participating selections treated as losses unless the market provides otherwise.
4. In-Play and VAR
- In-play markets settle on the official result as determined by the governing body. If a significant event occurs and the decision is reversed by VAR after the fact, bets settled between the incident and final decision may be voided, except where the odds are unaffected by the VAR decision or the market already accounts for it.
- In the absence of an official result or if the event is interrupted for an extended period, settlement will reflect the official result as of the time the match is deemed complete or officially abandoned.
5. Soccer
- Match results refer to regular time including stoppage time unless a market specifies otherwise; extra time and penalties are not included unless the market states include them.
- 1X2 markets and half time/full time settlements follow the official result at the end of normal time unless otherwise stated.
- European Handicap markets use integer handicaps; draws are treated as per market structure; Asian style handicaps and other handicap types may be offered and participate accordingly as described in market terms.
- First Goalscorer, Anytime Goalscorer and other player markets settle on official statistics; if a player does not participate, those markets may be void unless otherwise stated.
- Abandoned or postponed matches: markets remain open for a defined period; if the match is resumed within 48 hours and completed, bets stand; otherwise unsettled markets are void unless already determined.
- Dead heat rules apply to tied outcomes; stakes are pro rata distributed among winners according to the odds at the time of settlement.
6. American Football
- All markets settle on the official result at the end of the scheduled regular time or the period stated in the market; overtime is counted only if the market expressly includes it.
- A minimum of 55 minutes of a 60-minute game must be completed for markets to be settled; if less than 55 minutes are played, unsettled markets are void unless a result is already determined.
- If a game is postponed or abandoned and not resumed within the current scheduled week, bets are void unless an official winner is declared.
- Changes of venue or reversal of home and away designations void the affected bets.
- Player prop markets settle on official statistics; if a player does not participate, those markets are void; overtime counts for all player prop markets where applicable.
7. Athletics
- Events are settled on the official results provided by the governing body. Outright markets remain runners regardless of participation unless the market defines otherwise; disqualification results in the participant being settled as a loser.
- Abandonment with no official winner results in voiding unsettled markets; dead heat rules apply where appropriate.
8. Australian Rules Football
- All markets settle on the official result at the end of the scheduled 80 minutes of play, including stoppage time but excluding any extra time.
- Postponed or abandoned fixtures are void if not resumed within 48 hours unless an official winner is declared.
- First and second halves, as well as quarter markets, settle based on the score in the relevant period; final series definitions are set out in market terms. Dead-heat rules apply.
9. Badminton
- Markets settle on the official result; if game coverage is lost and no result is published, unsettled markets are void.
- Postponed or abandoned events are void if not resumed within 48 hours; markets with significant price errors may be voided at the operator's discretion.
10. Horse Racing
- Double Result means payouts may be affected by Stewards' Inquiries; where permitted by the governing body, unsettled outcomes reflect the official result after any inquiry.
- First Past the Post settlement reflects the official result posted at the time of declaration; weigh-in revisions are ignored for settlement unless market terms specify otherwise.
- Official results and weights govern settlement; non runners may be treated as void where indicated by market terms.
- In cases of a replacement horse, team or participant, team markets may remain valid while individual performance markets may be void.
11. Outrights and Play or Pay
- Outright markets settle according to the final official outcome; selections that do not participate in the event are treated as losses unless market terms state otherwise.
- Play or Pay applies to all outright markets; participants listed may be unable to participate yet bets stand and are settled as losses where applicable. Head-to-head markets are excluded. Market terms may provide specific exceptions.
12. Final Provisions
- 888fw reserves the right to amend these rules at any time; customers will be notified via site publication. The English version governs interpretation.
- Disputes will be resolved under the operator's dispute resolution framework and applicable law. Customers may contact support to raise concerns in accordance with published procedures.
